Philile: Pre-schools

The philile foundation was established in 2008.

Philile (pea-lee-leh) I am alive.

Their aim is to establish early childhood development centers (pre-schools) in disadvantaged communities, running programs that are aimed at the physical, cognitive, emotional, spiritual and social development of children.

For this they require support from sponsors.

I fully support our GT branch efforts in supporting Philile. Pre-school education is key to level the playing field when entering formal schooling - too little is done in this sector, resulting in problems throughout our education system. We need competent school leavers in order for SA to successfully compete in a global economy. At the present rate the manufacturing sector is contracting and jobs cannot be created.
